Bio
Prom King grew up surrounded by music, listening to her father sing in a Rolling Stones cover band. A room filled with instruments shaped her childhood—everything from guitars and pianos to mandolins and sitars. The first CD she fell in love with was Grace by Jeff Buckley, and she remembers drifting to sleep with David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane playing on repeat.
Her journey into writing began at age twelve, when she was gifted her first guitar. Her brother, a classically trained musician, provided the foundation for much of what she knows today. For Prom King, songwriting has always been a raw and honest form of expression—a safe space to release emotions that might otherwise stay hidden.
Her career as a hairstylist unexpectedly connected her to Lauretta Records, where a friendship with the label’s CEO—sparked by a shared love of music—led to the opportunity to pursue her artistry more seriously.
Every song and project Prom King creates carries a piece of her heart, each one a reflection of her journey. Today, she is living her dream: collaborating with talented musicians and producers, and continuing to grow into the artist she has always aspired to be.
